Desperado Press welcomes submissions for Arbor Vitae, our bimonthly "broadzine." Despite all indications to the contrary, we are not necessarily interested in cowboy or western-themed literature. We seek poetry that is lively, accessible, and engaging, and are open to any topic and style.
Due to the very limited space, poems twenty lines or shorter are preferred. Occasionally we will run a longer poem, but it must be exceptional in every way to merit the additional space. We welcome simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if work is accepted elsewhere. We do not print previously published material.
At present, we are not seeking poems for broadside or chapbook consideration. Broadsides and chapbooks are published through solicitation only.
